First of all I think we should congratulate Rev’d Graham Halsall (ProvGChaplain) for staging this event at the Memorial Hall and for all the hard work which must have been done dressing up the hall, arranging the tickets, music and the supper.
As the title states it truly was a “Family Event” with over 70 in attendance, everyone was there, children of all ages, parents and Grand Parents, again of all ages!!. The really great thing about it all was that everybody joined in, those who could already do a Barn Dance and those who couldn’t, for them there was a fine instructor on hand to guide them through.
There was lots of laughter and happy smiling faces and this included the PGM who along with his wife Lynn and Grand children tried his hand at nearly all the various types of dance, of which there are many. (He was not an instant “master” at some of them but as we would expect from him, he gave it a go)
There was a fine supper arranged which included Traditional Hot Pot, mushy peas, red Cabbage and beetroot  followed by Apple pie and cream, plenty for all. (seconds/thirds for some !!) PGM with Grandson Above Right
